Yuki for a smart, badass main character like Akise Riku, right? O.K, so Yuno was (arguably) the best part of the original manga, I think you will come to accept Riku as an awesome replacement for the both of them. I know, I know, The real Yuno is nowhere to be seen, but it' s a small price to pay for taking out It' s all the same art and models from Mirai Niki, so if you liked that, the art won' t throw you off to this manga. It' s good, but nothing much has changed. However, in this version of the amazing story is changed immediately at the beginning. The entirety of this manga seems to almost be a parody of it' s parent story, 'Mirai Nikki'.That being said, you probably don' t want to read this until you' ve gotten pretty far into the original. Be forwarned though, Murumuru taking Yunos place is rather unsettling. Or just like the character Akise Aru in general. But Murumuru brought the entire thing down. Akise as a smart bishounen detective, with a slight questionable nature was okay. But as you can tell i didn't enjoy this very much. I didn't know that it was from Akise's POV tho. I thought she was cute before but she just annoying. I liked the whole Tsubaki and Akise panels, and the hinted couple of them. Since the story is relatively short there isn't a whole lot of character development. And fuck.Murumuru inserting herself into Yunos life that was so retarded. It was never about Akise Aru no matter how much you wanted it to be about him. I know this is just an alternate universe type thing but geez man Taking YUNO(almost) completely out of the story is stupid. The story has a lot of differen't aspects like a more enjoyable outcome for most Diary Users. Here we have an alternate universe where, something happens and Yuno is removed from the game, murumuru inserts her self into the game as yuno, yuki almost dies and Akise Aru is implanted in to save him. I of course loved the original manga, since the art is just about the same of course i liked Paradox's art as well. Which for me is the best part of this manga. To be very honest, I expected something a lot better.

If you have ever picked up the Mirai Nikki series, no matter what you think of it, this is must!Ī good, well written story that without a doubt deserves a series of anime specials of it's own.

I also liked the fact that dispite this manga being short, there was a begining, middle and end, also, this story does have some stand-alone qualities you don't need to complete or even enjoy the original in order to follow this - you don't even have to reach the half way point really? The set-up of this lacked the idealism what is pretty much needed within this story not simply because this main isn't 'part of the game' but because the main isn't the type that comes along too often in shounen's - sure we get the odd few smart leader types, but not too many are very social, intouch with their feelings, 'career' motivated and generally humble. I realli enjoyed this personally, more so then the original story.
The art is fine, it's what we're use to in Mirai Nikki - the scenery isn't too special and the character design is a tad basic, but the characters styling stands out and they all look different. Within this story, we have Akise a smart boy who's genuienly interested in the situation he's now in and isn't too worried about his own safety, aswell as the supernatural, problematic-yet-sensible MaruMaru who's pretty independent as a main.įuthermore, this story, despite being just five chapters, manages to utilise those characters who, for obvious reasons, weren't allowed a great deal of attention within the original story. This story is simply a case of the same scenario's witnessed in the begining of Mirai Nikki, only very different characters put into place to deal withĪ vast contrast to the original, were we are use to the out-of-place innocent that is Yuki and the, one-girl-army that is Yuno progressing threw danger. Whilst work has been put into place to bring Yuno back and restore a critical Yuki, MaruMaru and Akise replace the two leads. MaruMaru has destroyed Yuno before the story kicks off - no Yuno present has put Yuki in emediate danger. The entire approach to the story is very different You can't really go wrong with five chaptersģ. A must read - even if you aren't really into the original story, for a number of reasons:Ģ.
